Ashley Turner is a current YS School Board Member, elected in 2023 to fill a two-year vacancy. She is a K-12 Education Systems Engineer, which blends her love of technology with her love of public education. She works with technology and curriculum departments in public school districts across Maryland, Delaware and Washington DC to ensure technology is enhancing students’ education and schools have the appropriate technology infrastructure to meet their needs.

A York County native, Ashley graduated from Central York High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in broadcasting from Temple University. She began her career in public education working for Manheim Township School District’s technology department. She was also the sound designer for their performing arts department.

Ashley and her husband chose to raise their children in York Suburban because of its reputation for quality education. They have one elementary-aged child and one child who attends YS Middle School. Ashley understands the needs of the YS community as a regular volunteer with York Suburban Education Foundation’s Impact Foundation Pantry, a consistent attendee at YS school board and committee meetings prior to being elected as a YS School Director, a regular PTO volunteer, and a member of the 2022 YSSD District Comprehensive Planning Committee.
